Both the lecture and the author talk about glass windows which cause damaging damage for to birds and the author rejects all three points which have been mentioned by the reading. First of all, the author argues that one-way glasses cannot stop birds getting injured/injuring birds because birds they cannot distinguish between one-way glasses and mirrors because for of reflection. The Sky and trees are reflected byon them and birds and they cannot underestandunderstand this, so they fly right into them, so therefore one-way glasses cannot be beneficial. While the lecture author/writer argues that by one-way glasses birds cannot see through a window, so they will understand and they cannot try to fly through it because they figure out the window is a barrier. Secondly, the lecturer indicates that colorful paint on windows cannot be convincing because birds perceive that colorful windows are holes and fly through them and if the unpainting unpainted space on the window be is too small, it will be extremely dark for people who are indoors. In contrast, by the lecture textthat indicates by painting colorful lines or other designs on windows, birds would see the stripes and thus avoid trying to fly through the glasses. Finally, the speaker maintains that the magnetic field cannot be useful. It is true that birds use natural magnetic compass for their navigate navigation but they use it for long distance and for short distance they use their eyes and brightness of lights to determine where they want to go. On the other hand, the writer maintains that birds have a natural ability to sense Earth's magnetic fields, so if we use the magnetic fields, birds would alter their direction, so they will not be hurt.
