Do you agree or disagree? Movies and televisions should always show audiences that good people are rewarded and bad people are punished. Television is one of the appliances which can be found in every home. Without a doubt, its content has a massive impact on creating culture, so I personally agree that it should provide programs distinguishing between deeds and misdeeds. The first and foremost reason that comes to mind is that the majority of children are television audiences. It goes without saying that the programs they watch have a significant effect on their development one of which is morality one. As a result, they should be taught that all of us have to do impressive jobs and might be rewarded. In addition, according to psychological studies, even six-month-old newborns can differentiate between good and bad. As a result, this differentiation is a natural feature which should be improved by nurture. In other words, with respect to the young generation’s access to digital devices and free flow of information, we should care about the content which is created by various media and they should remind them that unethical actions might result in a penalty. Besides, playing an informative role in the community, media are in the vanguard of creating a culture. Consequently, the producers should generate people’s enthusiasm in people for following ethics. In fact, not considering any punishment for bad affairs and being indifferent to moral characters might end up with a decline in people’s motivation for good deeds. However, I hold that should television series or shows depict law-breakers’ destiny or lawabiding people’s reward, individuals might be accustomed to the prize for any acceptable act they perform. Also, I wholeheartedly believe that not all criminals take their medicine in real life. Instead, I maintain that programs should focus on reasons given for ethical actions and improve people’s moral reasoning. In that case, audiences ought to be trained to behave morally, irrespective of a penalty or prize. To make a long story short, as the proverb goes, prevention is better than cure. In the light of the importance of television and its influence, we should monopolize this medium potential to prevent our society from crimes and promote ethical behaviors.
