Governments nowadays are dealing with boosting the infrastructure concerning transportation modes. A subject of remaining debate has been created over investment on in railways instead of roads as means of transportation. In my opinion, railway expansion can bring suitable benefits for governments from multiple points of view. First of all, railway transportation is efficiently dependable. No matter what the weather condition is, whether it is rainy, snowy, foggy, …, the this transportation still works, which means how reliable and proper railways are. Consequently, there would be no little delay and congestion on railway routes and the schedules are as accurate and exact as planned. The loads/cargos and passengers are also delivered to the destination as fast and conveniently as possible, hence high customer satisfaction (is met) in long term. Railways have other superiorities over roads. They can guarantee and ensure safety of passengers and goods. To explain, this means of transport minimizes the chances of accidents as there will be no traffic or unexpected vehicles on the opposite side of the route,. therefore, large numbers of people and goods can be carried safely. Moreover, railways preserve their loads against the sun, rain, and other weather harshness and their adverse impacts especially when the cargo is sensitive to weather conditions, thereby improving the safety of traveling. To conclude, it seems that railways far outweigh roads from different perspectives, in a way that not only are they reliable enough but safety and ease of transportation is satisfied effectively.
