Childhood obesity is becoming a serious problem in many countries. Explain the main causes and effects of this problem, and suggest some possible solutions. Today, many children are challenging struggling/grappling with the issue of obesity. This problem stems from some factors which bring about some adverse effects, but there are some possible measures which can be taken to address the problem. It seems that the major cause would be the change happeninged in the young people's entertainments, during recent decades. The video games, occupyingied most children, tend to make them lead a sedentary lifestyle as they spend several hours in succession in front of the computer. This way of life as a result is often followed by consumption of convenience food such as fast food, which contains far more caloric ingredients compared to home-cooked meals. This means that these factors altogether could put children at the high risk of obesity. Consequently, this challenging issue would entail some potentially negative effects. Becoming isolated is, it is apparently to be the most considerable effect. The children struggling with this issue are more likely to be excluded from the outside world, as they change in terms of appearance badly, not to mention that getting overweight potentially leads to depression. Due to this problem, perhaps, they would lag behind their peers since they fail to have confidence to attend classes, which might result in suspension from school. Turning to possible solutions, the key step, probably, would be adoption of an active lifestyle. That way, adults including schools' officials and parents could encourage young people to take up some sports courses which lead them to do some physical activities as entertainment rather than playing video games. The subsequent solution would be changing the poor eating habits of children. Parents play a key role in this regard,. for example, cooking healthy food such as traditional foods, compassionate mothers could encourage their offspring to take a balanced diet. In this case, they will be taking have taken a positive steps towards both mental and physical health of their children. I would argue that if children are under their parents' supervision in the light of their nutrition and daily activities, hopefully, this problem will be solved among young people
