In some schools and universities, girls tend to choose arts subjects and boys tend to choose science subjects. Why do you think this is so? should this tendency be changed? Whether to study arts or science, every student, in spite of their gender, should be free to choose. Nevertheless, statistics demonstrate the fact that girls and boys are more into interested in selecting arts and science, respectively, as their subject of study. This essay will discuss the relating reasons and conclude whether this trend should be continued or not. Gender discrimination has always been a controversial issue. However, selecting a subject as a major is absolutely depends on every individual's talent and interest and it has to be regardless of to the sex of the students. The existing That studies illustrate the mentioned trend can only be explainable due to the reasons relating to human nature and taste. Firstly, women are created to love and care which made them more sensitive and softer. Therefore, they can be more eligible for and successful in arts. Secondly, not having women's tenderness, men prefer more problem solving and decision making. That is to say, they may go more for science in comparison with girls. Despite all Intellectual and behavioral differences between men and women, students select their subject of study according to their objectives and interests. Not only is it vital not to intervene in their notions, but also the students' tendency should be supported by both family and society. We should Simply let them choose their own favourite major even though the above-mentioned trenddespite the possibility of may forming. a meaningful trend. In conclusion, I assume that this gender-oriented subject-selection in some schools should have been accidental while students opt for a field of study which they are enthusiastic for. I believe that, students should be both supported and respected for their choices and no one should interfere in it.
