Some people believe that there should be fixed punishments for each type of crime. Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. It is needless to say that to err is human beings are impeccable, so every individual might commits a crime or only do a misdemeanor. Apparently, these perpetrators should be punished due to preventing them from reoffending doing again so they will be an object lesson and (making an example of them) for others. While some say criminals and wrongdoers should be punished on a certain and fixed basis for each type of crime, others believe that the motive/motivation of crime must be regarded as one of the most important parts of judgment. Firstly, since many countries have a constitution which for each crime, a fixed punishment has been defined, so all people in front of/before these canons are equal. For instance, there is no difference between those persons who commit a crime whether their motivations are the same or not. Also, nobody can judge others out of these principles and based on their own preferences. Secondly, some people believe that we should regard individuals' motivation and situation. Simply, maybe a person commits burglary due to poverty. Analogously, another person commits burglary due to defrauding individuals or organizations, so the first group does it because if they did not, they would die of on hunger but the second group just commits crime only because of earning money in an easy way. Therefore, by taking into accounts their motivations and situations, the first group is not a culprit. To sum up, from the author's perspective, regarding motivations in judgments gives us a facility to classify crimes precisely. However, maybe finding individuals' motivation is inapplicable. Additionally, perhaps in some cases criminals would use of this canon for prevarication and elusion.
