Book 7 – General training 1‐ Task 2: Some people prefer to live in a house, while others feel that there are more advantages to living in an apartment. Are there more advantages than disadvantages of living in a house compared with living in an apartment? Many people like to live in a house with gardens and backyards, but there are many others claiming that living in an apartment has more benefits than a house. House living proponents say that you have more privacy and convenience in houses rather than apartments despite the higher/more costs. Although having a garden or backyard imposes proposes more monthly expenditure, you can have more fun having them like holding a party there with friends or family and it's worth it. You can have more rooms for children and extra space for them to play compared to rather than apartments. Besides, living in a house will provide prepare you with the opportunity of raising plants around the house which and this will bring brought you a the sense of freshness. On the other hand, apartment lovers say they have benefits which could hardly be seen. They are much more secure than houses. You can easily go on a trip with less concern about robbery. When you are living in an apartment it is just enough to lock the front door and go everywhere you want. Maybe apartments are usually smaller than houses, but you can try to find a bigger one with more spaces and facilities, even modern ones with exotic designs. Apartments are usually have playing grounds for children where they can play together whereas children in houses despite having private playing yards, lose the chance of finding friends of the same age. In my opinion, it is better to live in a house if you can afford pass the expenses. Of course the chance of being burgled/robbed exists even if you lived in houses or apartments, but just only its proportion in houses is a little more. I will never lose the benefit of having a yard with a small pool placed in the middle and probably with colored fishes. Children will eventually find their friends of the same age either they lived in houses or in apartments. Living in houses would be more fun funnier than living in apartments in conditions that we had enough spaces to build up such homes. In a nutshell, living in houses or apartments both have pros and cons neither of which and none of them is more advantageous than the other except in certain circumstances but in the situations. Maybe it would be better to live in houses for all people, but in conditions where that the community has no spaces for building houses, then people ought to live in apartments.
