Modern technology has made it easier for individuals to download copyright music and books from the internet for no charge. To what extent is this is a positive or a negative development? Nowadays, with the advent of new technology and the accelerating the development of that, access to music and electronic books is facilitated. Although some believe that downloading these materials for free is a plus point, others say this kind of activity is an abomination and to the detriment of the creator of that art. Firstly, too many say downloading music and books illicitly not only does discourage creators or authors, but also makes them to avoid being prolific because there will be no advantages such as money for them to keep continue to write more books or create more music. Also, opponents point out that these kinds (such) this kind of infringements that are occurring by in pirates should be restricted by governments. In this respect they should enact some strict rules on electronic/digital electric books and music to prevent pirates from downloading illegally. Secondly, in striking contrast, some say this development is positive because in some countries access to international transaction is inaccessible. For instance, in my country if someone has have an intention of buying their favorite story books legally, specifically international ones, there is no way for them to do so. In addition, in some developing countries the price of those books and music is much/exorbitantly thoroughly higher than their incomes, so they cannot afford to purchase. Furthermore, in terms of social literacy, if the access to all books, or magazines etc gets simplified, the general knowledge of all individuals will show an upward trend. To sum up, from my perspective, if this is available for us to download a book or music legally, we should do so. Moreover, governments had better monitor this kind of activity and mandate rules against wrongdoers.
