94/7/3 8 Many museums charge for admission while others are free. Do you think the advantages of charging people for admission to museums outweigh the disadvantages? There is no room for doubt that a place which can attract many people to visit is a museum because there are many historical, scientific and aesthetic masterpieces that are kept inside. However, these places need have a plenty of maintenances and other costs, so the question of whether visiting these places should be free or not is a matter of dispute. A lot of people are of the opinion that everyone should pay for entrance ticket when they enter any museums, because these places need to be kept safe and clean since/because there are many invaluable and unique artifacts which are held in these places, so it is crucial that not only should do visitors pay for, but also try to keep these places neat. Moreover, in these places many people such as archeologists or curators are working works, if there is no charge for admission, their salary should be paid by taxes. As a result, museums will be highly dependent depended on the government. However, museums cannot earn enough money for archeology researches, unless they earn money from people who are interested in history when they enter in historical places. Having said that, however, some people are opposed to the former argument, they claim that its drawbacks are more. Because, people may lose their interests in historical places, and they suggest that we can sell replica of all historical artefacts or by selling books in order to earn their maintenance costs. From what has been discussed above, both points of view have their merits, and I believe that the positive outcomes of charging people are more than its negative.
