Some people think that it is fine for professional sportsmen and sportswomen to misbehave on or off the field, as long as they are playing well. Do you agree or disagree with this opinion? In this day and age, famous athletes are in the center of attention and their manners on and off the fields is are viewed by many individuals all over the world. Some people believe that their misdemeanor can be tolerated whilst they win matches and fly the flag for their countries. While there are many compelling reasons to the contrary, my firm conviction is that everyone should adhere to the law regardless of their performances. On the one hand, many a person believes that the famous sportsmen’s behavior stems from their situation. To start with, since they are under immense pressure of the cut-throat competition in the world of sports, they are prone to behave/ing poorly on and off the field. Dedicating all their energy and time to practice practicing and achieve achieving their goals, these athletes have deprived themselves of leading a normal social life, thereby negatively affecting their social and interpersonal abilities. Moreover, the ubiquitous paparazzies who follow them everywhere, invading their privacy fanning the flames of … and make making them aggressive. On the other hand, that famous athletes have numerous fans especially amongst the younger generation who consider them as their object of emulation is an undeniable fact, hence the importance of adhering to code of conducts in order to prevent misleading them. That is to say, many a youngster imitates their legends’ style and behavior without weighing their pros and cons. Therefore, the legend’s misdemeanor will spread in society. In addition, there should not be any exemption from the law since it will lead to chaos in society. When an athlete commits a felony, by and large, he invades another person’s right in the matches or in his private life. Considering the human right, people should have freedom in their life unless/as long as they violate others’ right, hence the importance of dispensing justice in order to protect others rights. In conclusion, to reiterate, considering professional athletes’ situation, their misconduct could be understood. However, by turning a blind eye on to their misbehavior we will convey a the wrong message to the youth who accept them as their role models which is they can breaking the rules as long as they are successful.
