Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Although science and technology will continue to improve, the most significant improvement s for the quality of people’s lives have already taken place. Humans owe their lives to the scientific achievements that have paved the way for a life full of prosperities. While some believe that there is no room for any other substantial development, I think that there are still some major challenges that need to be dealt with in the field of medicine, space explorations and environmental issues. First of all, although medical breakthroughs in the last few decades have made a profound impact on people’s health, cancers and viral diseases are a matter of serious concern. In fact, what may threaten human lives in the future may not be only nuclear weapons, but the emergence of fatal viruses. Consider the current pandemic of Covid-19 which led to the death toll of thousands. Now everyone is counting the seconds for finding a vaccine. As no one knows about the resurgence of another deadly disease or whether the world has enough supplies to fight against it, humans are constantly in at the riskthreat of facing another disastrous incident. Besides, in cancer treatment, while chemotherapies are the only solution to mitigate the patients’ condition, they are not the miracle cure and many are dying out without having a chance to be cured. As a consequence, the more incurable diseases arise, the more it calls for a worldwide alliance to overcome it. Moreover, thinking beyond limitations has brought many achievements throughout the history in which space exploration is considered the greatest one among all. Not only have we established modern societies on earth with cutting-edge technologies, but also our dream for conquering space is coming true. Nowadays, more and more countries are designing manned and unmanned spacecraft to launch into deep space. One of their main goals is to find life on another planets, as many believe that there will be a day, where, as a result of human activities, earth is no longer a suitable habitat for all species. Proud to land human spaceships on the moon or marsMars, scientists still have a long way to provide a habitable land to live. As a result, by providing living conditions on another planet, an unprecedented experience for all human beings will occur. Finally, as long as humans, with their detrimental activities on the environment, are threatening everyone’s existence, it cannot be said that humans are living a healthy life. Climate change as a result of burning fossil fuels is the greatest challenge that needs to be tackled. As long as many species are on the verge of extinction as a result of deforestation and other activities, it seems like somea negligence in the performance of our duties as human being. Once we finally overcome such issues, it can be considered a major achievement in which the quality of life is boosts boosted in many aspects. Therefore, resolving environmental issues, brings a lasting peace on earth in one way or another. To sum up, I believe that major improvements are still yet to come. I suggest that governments allocate more larger budgets on to improving these fields, because in this way we will have a healthy society, a unique life experience on other planets and a peaceful world.
