Climate change is a big environmental problem that has become critical in last couple of decades. Some people claim that humans should stop burning fossil fuels and use only alternative energy resource, such as wind and solar power. Others say that oil, gas and coal are essential for many industries, and not using them will lead to economic collapse. What is your opinion? Support your point of view with relevant examples. Nowadays, global warming is one of the main concerns of human beings, which occurs by burning fossil fuels. May by Burning small amounts of gas and oil, mankind can generate huge amounts of energy, but apart from the pros, I tend to agree that the environment can be negatively affected by this fuels. The main disadvantage of using fossil fuels is the pollution they caused. Well documented by scientists throughout the world, the problems are caused as a direct result of burning fossil fuels. Carbon dioxide is released into the air when fossil fuels are burned. This has been directly linked to global warming and making fossil fuels very dangerous to the general health of our planet. Also, Pollution-related diseases kills millions of people a year. People who live in areas with a large amount of traffic are at high risk. In addition, required requiring the huge amounts of coal, power stations will keep working. This means that either power stations need to be built very close to large deposits (or coal reservoir ) of coal, or that the coal needs to be shipped miles away to the nearest power station, which requires more power. These methods of generating electricity can, therefore, be incredibly expensive, and the prices are due to keep on rising as the fuel shortage worsens. However, luckily more effort is being put into finding alternative sources of energy such as renewable sources like sunlight and wind. For instance, through green manufacturing, producers are trying to use solar panels instead of fuels for producing the needed energy for the equipment. Also, in environment-friendly warehouses thestorage and retrieval are done by robots which utilize electricity produces produced by renewable energy. To sum up, Replacing coal and other contaminating fuels with solar and wind power should be a high priority not only for governments but also for citizens as the costs are outweighed by out weighted the benefits.
