Many people visit museums when they travel to new places. Why do you think people visit museums? Among the many symbols in every country which can represent its background, museums play a vital role. These venues have been a permanent touristic option for travelers. Some believe that placing a high value on their importance is a slight exaggeration. Some are of the opinion that there are a multitude of reasons why one should visit them. however, I strongly believe that it their being educational, entertaining and providing a chance to meet others are the most important ones. First of all, history has always taught generations a lesson that if one would want to understand today, they would have to search yesterday. Wars, revolutions, ancient buildings, monuments and tools are valuable legacies that had been left for humans which so far have paved the way for the current era by teaching them precious lessons. Museums have been given us the opportunity to explore the pre-historic age up to the late modern period. these historical places simulates a time traveling atmosphere for visitors in which they can see themselves through the eyes of their ancestors and realize their way of thinking and the way they deal with the unexpected situations. Besides, being in such places for children can be a practical example to become acquainted with the old days and the story behind them. Therefore, by knowing about the history, people will become mindful in their current actions and their knowledge would avert a some humanitarian catastrophe. Moreover, when tourists travel to another country, museum are often at the top of their list to visit. Indeed, they are easily accessible to public and they charge visitors a reasonable amount of money. Because of the variety of options that are being offered, both adults and children can benefit from that them in a way which they enjoy watching old pieces and even sometimes make fun of what they have seen. In some of these places a historical performances are being held which can be both amusing and educating. Furthermore, shopping has always been an attractive activity for travelers and museums usually allocate a space for gift shops in which people can purchase a souvenir or a memento for themselves. As a result, spending hours while enjoying their time leads to a better mental health and tourists may suggest visiting that country to other people who are interested in. Finally, getting familiar with like-minded people can be the other reason for travelers to visit museums. Communication has always been a strong tool to tighten nations’ bonds and these venues give a chance while learning about other cultures, tourists will realize about people’s mindset and find the ones who share the same interest. Sometimes it is vice versa and they will meet those who have the opposite worldview and the conversation may provokes a hot debates. As a consequence, through these dialogues people will be forced to think critically and strengthen their social bonds at the same time. To sum up, I think museums hold a key role in presenting a country’s background. I suggest that governments should raise the budgets in this field to absorb more tourists. In this way, visiting museums results in increased awareness, lifting one’s spirit and widening social bonds with others.
