Some people say that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Learning a foreign language includes a variety of advantages in developing knowledge, personal ability, understanding diversediverse sity cultures and lifestyles, finding new friends and …, so it cannot be limited only for certain reasons like traveling or working aspects which are more effective in communication skills. Both points of view are explained in this assayessay. On one hand, a growing number of people want to learn other languages to find a job, migrate or maybe because they are interested in traveling and visiting multiple communities to communicate and interact with foreign people. Therefore, they are obliged to improve their foreign language to meet their needs. For example in my country most of the people are studying English as an international language to enhance their knowledge particularly in professional field like education. In other word, people besides learning a foreign language, could get more benefit as well. They will be able to boost their creativity by thinking and solving the new phrases and expressions as well as improve their memory and attention span. Furthermore, bilingual people are more familiar with cultural and traditional aspects of other country by reading diversity books, so they could make friend easier especially through the social media networks. All these advantages would help them to build up their self-confident. In conclusion, learning other language especially those which are more common around the world not only facilitate communication process in visiting foreign people during travel or work in developed countries, but also can be effective more in scientific and psychological field.
