NOWADAYS MANY PEOPLE CHOOSE TO BE SELF-EMPLOYED, RATHER THAN TO WORK FOR A COMPANY OR ORGANISATION. WHY MIGHT THIS BE THE CASE? WHAT COULD BE THE DISADVANTAGES OF BEING SELF-EMPLOYED? It is argued that, in recent years, people are more keen to run their own businesses instead of working as an employer employee for the other companies and organizations. Although it may seem that selfemployed jobs bring more profit and comfortableness for their owners, I believe it is still a risky decision which would could have many downsides in both individual and social aspects. This essay will attempt to look into the possible reasons for such a trend in society and then considers the disadvantageous outcomes(drawbacks) of it. In most developing countries the economy economic crisis crises is a major problem by which many companies are encounteringed with. Indeed, as the economy weakens, there are more and more jobs which are making made redundant. In this situation people who seek for landing a decent job would not feel secure enough to be recruited by an organization for which they should have work overtime without receiving any commitment for a long-lasting job by employers, so they may think a small but self-employed business would be a safer option for them. One’s Own business/an owned business has also the advantage of being your own boss, . in this way you do not have tonot always be worried of about obeying a superior or meeting another person’s demands. On the other hand, running a business without any support is always at the risk of breaking down. The second reason which is linked with the first is that increasing the number of the private businesses would put the society in even more trouble, if everyone prefers to work for themselves, there would be no productivity in the society and the economy would collapse much more severely as a result, so there is no prosperity in it. Also a big company can save more energy than several small ones in terms of producing the same product. And last but not least, although there are lots of challenges in working for others, self-employment is not always the best option. The truth is, the society needs both.so, the authorities should strike a balance between these two in a way that helps the job seekers and the economy growth as well. Duration: 55min
