Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a positive or negative development? Today, in the technological cutting-edge era, all human beings’ interactions have been overshadowed by the internet in that rarely can you find a person without not using a technological device. To begin with, technology has equipped individuals with tools which not only can it enable them to contact together each other in long distances but also can provide the possibility of meeting virtually by video call, so gone are the days that people have had to travel to meet their family and relatives. Moreover, the influence of technology on personal relationships is not recondite to us; for example, individuals invariably make friends, set a date, and even fall in love in social networking. Additionally, the concept of the workplace is brought into question, because today there are lots of jobs that can be accomplished at home with only one laptop without needing a place for work, hence changing changs in work relationships. Although this pushing-bottombutton-pushing era has facilitated all the activities we do and also contacting with other people, it can threaten face-to-face interactions, by which I mean when people who can carry out whatever they want only by one click, so that they spend roughly most of their time at home, thereby decreasing the presence of dwellers in the urban public spaces such as streets, squares, as a social realms. Taking everything into consideration, I personally opine that although technology provides us with a wide variety range of facilities, putting into action the meticulously planned programs to striking strike a balance between virtual life and the real one seems necessary.
