Many parents encourage young people to leave home when they become older, while others think they should stay at home with the family. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. Having grown children who would like to leave home is one of the significant family milestones, which some parents welcome it warmly and but others resist. However, I believe that parents should assist their children in leaving home for their own sake and their offspring. The first group of parents believe that when young adults leave home, they will be able to achieve their independency. This independency is an important step in the transition to adulthood and for everyone who wants to marry, raise a family and be a productive member of society. These parents argue that no matter how the children are taught at home, they still need to encounter reality and experience difficulties independently. Moreover, when young people leave home, parents will have more free time for themselves. As parents, they usually dedicate more than two decades of their life for bringing children up and by all accounts, they deserve to pay more attention to themselves. On the other hand, some parents tend to maintain the family circle by keeping its members at home. They reason that in this day and age, most young adults are not able to start living independently due to financial problems or the longtime study process. They are worry that if their youth leave home sooner than the right time, they will face some problems like homelessness or feeling a sense of frustration. In addition, it appears that some parents try to encourage their children to stay with them because they are more concerned about themselves. These parents usually fear of loneliness in old age and they feel the children are their investments in their old age, hence they make excuses for fear of an empty nest. In conclusion, although there are undeniable obstacles to in the way of leave leaving home for young generations, it seems that if parents do their duties to educate their children properly and overcome their fears, we have a mature young generation who are ready to fly the nest.
