In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a positive or negative development? Answer: With Proliferation of technologies that influence all aspects of human’s societies. ,In fact, the societies are on the cusp of a social revolution. The implications of technology on human’s relations should be considered in all conceivable angles, negative and positive ways. To begin with, it is an undeniable fact that technology provides a variety of opportunities for people to interact with each other. Thanks to technology, the meanings of time and space have been changed in recent years. People are able to travel easily and interact with each other. For instance, people can flight fly from New York to London in less than 7 hours which is not a feasible idea before. In addition, technology has considerable effects on people’s communication ways. For example, not only have social network sites created opportunities to for people to interact with their families and friends, but also they have provided a friendly atmosphere to connect people with different backgrounds. On the other hand, the devastating consequences of technology on people’s interaction should never be neglected. Although technological devices have constrictive impacts on people‘s communication ways. They have gradually undermined feelings and emotions status on social relationships. In modern societies, people have totally immersed totally themselves in daily works. Therefore, they prefer to send a massage or email to their families and friends. These methods of communications arelimited because they do not incorporate all aspects of face to face interaction. Face to face interaction is the most genuine form of social interaction. According to “News Week” magazine’s survey, conducted in 2017, the drawbacks of virtual interaction on the young generation were discussed. In the light of the survey results, it is proved that virtual interaction has threatened the familial relationships. With hindsight, this kind of interaction had adverse influence adversely on face to face communication and at the end of the day will destroy the whole human society’s infrastructures. To sum up, the technology is an important tool that should be used to ease human life and enhance its quality. Indeed, technology has negative and positive impacts on people’s interaction which should be both considered both sides.
