News stories on TV and news papers are very often accompanied by pictures. Some people say that these pictures are more effective than words. What is your opinion? Give relevant examples. As we are all aware the world is rapidly changing to its worst. People are not kind to the Mother Nature and they are consistently destroying it. War is happening in every corner of the world and is causing/causes a heavy death toll/large number of human beings to lose their lives. The climate is changing and global warming is threatening us. On the other hand, the excessively ameliorating, technology motivates people to learn, seek and know more about the unfamiliar side of the world. Knowing requires observation to some extent; to that end cameras and microscopes and some other devices or machinery have been invented to record videos and pictures in order to provide us with enough evidence of the unknowns such as the smallest parts of formation of an element to the galaxy, the milky way space, asteroids, stars and planets to internal organs of body. Yet, the fastest and most powerful recording device of all time is the eyes. It is said that whatever the eyes see, the mind believes. The more we look and observe through the eyes, the plainer picture we will have of a scene, an object, a person or an incident. Moreover, there are some indescribable moments that are do not contained in words, but the mind can have a clear analysis of that through observation. Knowing the pivotal role of the pictures and even video clips, people use the technology is used to make it more accessible, faster and easier for us to record and share special moments with the others. Once I read an article about the discovery of the American continent by Christopher Colombus. When Indians asked him as to how he got/arrived there, he pointed the ship which he traversed the oceans with. But they were not able to see it, thought it was not that far away. The article claimed that the reason was that since before that time, they had not have seen a ship,. Therefore, the mind did not have any clue of it and was not able to recognize the ship. Aforementioned points are some instances that indicate the significance of eyes in engraving a memory in our minds. News stories on TV and in newspapers papers update people with the latest events. Thus, from my point of view, for transporting a crystal clear sense to the addressee and also affecting them, they should contain what deals with eyes and that would be eye catching and impressive pictures and videos.
