These days, people are living into their 90's and beyond. As a result, there is an increasing concern about care for the elderly. Do you think it is the responsibility of the family to take care for their elderly member or should the government be held responsible? Due to medical science developments people are able to live longer than they do did before. The Unavoidable consequence of such developments is a large number of old people in society who needs caring and sharing. The problem is whether the government or the person's family should be responsible for providing health and other life amenities for old people, is a controversial issue. To begin with, many people in modern lifestyles shirk their responsibility for taking care of with their parents for taking care of them. Some people are of the opinion that our parents who once unconditionally sacrificeding their life and money when we were a child do not deserved to be left leaving alone in home for the aged even if we cannot afford their expenditure. In other words, not only do they need caring, but they also require our affection. On the other hand, some people believe that it is incumbent on governments to undertake the caretaking of senior citizens who have paid payed taxes and insurance when they were working. Hence, it is government's turn to pay for retired people lest their family will face problems. To exemplify, in modern society people have numerous problems namely, providing a proper house and having a stable job so, the situation would be tougher if they had have to takeing care of their old parents who needs attention along with /in parallel with frequent medical check-up. By way of conclusion, there are strong arguments on both sides of the debate. After analyzing I opine that it is a multi-duty task and if a family is able to take care of elderly members, it would be not fair to leave them alone exactly the time they need us.
