Many people say the gap between rich and poor people is wider, as rich people become richer and poor people grow poorer. As the world progresses, the gap between the two classes of society is widened because the rich become wealthier whereas the poor are living on the breadline. In fact, this income inequality could lead to several problems which will be analyzed in this essay. Firstly, the rich-poor gap could bring the breeding ground for social unrest and. To put it simply, the poor might perceive that the rich plays a major role in their occupational opportunities since their bosses are mostly are enormously wealthy. This phenomenon might bring about up the poor people’s discontentment which might lead to a disastrous social anarchy. Secondly, a poverty restricts the capability of the underprivileged access to services and other facilities such as education, employment and medicine,. As a result, they might opt for either life a life of crime criminals, or violence. There are several initiatives to reduce economic inequality. For instance, higher taxes should be levied on the rich, which could also reduce the amount of income inequality in society. On the other hand, governments could use this money to supply free goods and services for those who struggle to make a living. Furthermore, governments should spare no efforts to increase for increasing the earnings of poor workers by giving them subsidies. Although it cannot be denied that the current system is paying much attention to individuals’ skills to determine the amount of money one might earn, the unskilled workforce who are usually from the low class should be provided enough to live properly/decently. In conclusion, chaos and the acceleration of crime rates are the two severe problems of the unequal distribution of wealth. In other words, governments could impose heavy taxes on the rich and heighten the amount of salary for the poor.
