Compare the advantages and disadvantages of three of the following as media for communicating information. State which three you consider the most effective. Comic, Books, Radio, Television, Film, Theater In our daily life, people communicate information through different media like television, film, radio, books, the internet, mobile phones and other technologies. We are living in such a time when information has a significant role in our life and the information technologies as well as the communication media greatly influence our lives. All the media has/have advantages and disadvantages but not all of them can amuse every type of audience. Books, comics, television, film, theater are all very powerful media for communicating information but in my opinion books, television and film are the most effective. Books are the main source from which we gain a vast knowledge. From very ancient period till now books have been tantamount to the light‐house for societies. We gather most of our knowledge and skills from books and they it opens new horizons in front of us. Writers write down their experiences, imaginations, explanations and knowledge about each and every aspect and issue of our lives, so books are like a bridge among writers and readers. However, not everybody is not satisfied/delighted to with reading books and they envisage something easier and more interesting/vivid like television. Watching television is a part of our daily life and most of the people who have TV sets, watch films, news and other programs on TV. Among meanwhile program producers and representatives also broadcast different controversial issues related to the people’s opinions and their life in TV programs. Moreover, television is a strong medium for governments and organizations to send their messages to for the mass population. Although they generally have lots of adverse bad and demerit impacts because they almost utilize negative and misleading news. Films are a kind of audiovisual media that can attract/draw entice the attention of people from all geographical locations, cultures and races. Producers and film‐makers expend huge amounts of money to make the films that are more realistic and eye absorbing. A good film could bring us a moral message and on the contrary a bad film also brings a wrong and immoral message. To sum up, I think books, television and films are the most formidable and effective medium media in communicating information and the most people commonly use these three mass media.
