Iran wildlife What do you know a bout your country wildlife? Maybe you heard this sentence of Gandhi that he says (you can recognize a nation with their behavior with towards animals). Protection of animals and plants planets population in different ecosystems is one of the important aims at the environmental protection agency. Responsibility for preservinge plants and animals species per country is for people, legislation and regulatory institutions. Unfortunately, in Iran people in anyway do not no heed to this matter as well as authorities even do not no heed to this and they don’t have any worry about that. All of this is happening to a the country that is one of the best geographical locations and it have has 1140 animal species such as birds , reptiles, mammals, fish and amphibians. But the nature of this country during the past years has wasbeen really neglected, as a result during the years 1356 to 1380 we lost lose (we destroyed) 90 percent of Iran's wildlife , this shocking statistic is indicates that the summarily process of destruction of nature during the 30 past years has found widespread dimensions. the important reasons are : 1‐ Habitat destruction 2‐ Not paying attention to the necessary rights of water for ecological balance in rivers state. 3‐ Login entry of a variety of industrial, agriculture and urban pollution into on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems in the country . 4‐ Poaching and poaching/illegally huntingarms . 5‐ Existence of livestock over capacity in wildlife habitats. 6‐ Lack of adequate laws and regulations. 7‐ Ignoring the various values of wildlife in development planning. 8‐ Lack of statistics and detailed information about wildlife. . 9‐ Uncontrolled exploitation of water resources and threatened wetlands. 10‐Consecutive droughts. 11‐Lack of facilities, equipment and quantitative and qualitative and qualitative force. About the last one it should be said almost 17 million hectares of Iranian territories as a national parks, protected areas, and wildlife refuge to preserve animal genetic resources is managed by the dDepartment of eEnvironment . in addition 7 million hectares are is defined as a prohibited hunting areas . all these lands about 2600 ranger, each person is under the protection of 6500 hectares of land per capita . according to international standards Iran needs at least 10000 rangers . while we have hire 7000 persons for controlling the Iranian dress code veil just in Tehran .
