It is important for children to learn the different between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? What sort of punishment should parents and teachers be allowed to use to teach good behavior to children? It is needless to say that children should distinguish right and wrong. Hence, one of measures for them to do so is punishment whether physical or psychological. Meanwhile, parents always speculate which forms of punishment not only are implementable but also are influential so that their children try to behave rightfully. From my perspective any kind of physical punishment would be malicious. Firstly, let’s take a look at the effect of punishment on the behavior of children. Generally, many years ago individuals believed physical punishment was is a useful measure to correct children’s misbehavior. Conversely, these days, experts have shown physical punishment is not a decent way for rectifying children’s behavior. They also have mentioned that corporal punishment results in complexes or intensifiesy misbehavior in children and which these consequences will emerge in a not‐too‐far a future in their life. For example, many surveys have indicated that the children whose parents have used punishment show more misbehavior in their adulthood in comparison with others. Recently, many researches have been carried out to find out which kinds of punishment have sufficient effects on children's behavior. Finally specialists concluded that encouraging children for their moral behavior and neglecting them as a punitive action for their misbehavior are the best measures devised. Simply, children should be rewarded for every rightful behavior and ignored for wrongful ones. Nevertheless, all children should be aware of the consequences of their misbehavior, and be responsible for them. To sum up, as discussed above, it goes without saying that punishment is not applicable and has have no lasting linger effects, apart from the temporary ones. Therefore, I believe that punitive measures might come bring to fruition, barring those includinge physical punishment.
