The continued rise in the world's population is the greatest problem faced by humanity at the present time. What are the causes of this continued rise? Do you agree that it is the greatest problem faced by humanity? Medical achievements in the last century resulted in better cures for diseases and illnesses, so that more patients touched healthiness again and less death of sickness occurred. All these caused population rates to rise steadily and continuously and facing humankind with a new big problem called high population. Many say uncontrolled/unfettered headlong population growth needs more facilities and enormous quantities of infrastructures must be have provided for them. The more children, the need more schools, the more youth needs more living tools and the more elders need more insurance. Besides, society cannot fulfil all these requirements, whereas the number of demands grow up every minute. All these mentioned above issues point out the most serious challenge in the history of mankind. On the other hand, there are proponents of population increment which claim that every new person who steps in this world will start efforts for improvement of the present situation. In addition, the more working forces who trying to gain their portion in this ordered modern world will result in more production of foods and facilities that they need for daily life. The most important thing might be their management which is the government's duty. From my point of view, although population's irregular swelling will create enormous problems for civilians and the governments, this increment will result in magnificent achievements if this potential energy is have been directed and managed in the right order. I certainly believe that population controlling policies would be the last solution if there is not any predefined and prepared program for guiding the swelling general public in the body of society's directing powers and organizations. In a nutshell, population's growth would be the worst or and the best thing that could be happen for a society depending on the situation which that country is in. Hosein Talebi.
