Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Reading is more enjoyable than watching movies. Agree: 1‐ it can give more information 2‐ reading with more detail 3‐ reading skill and gain historical, social, literary knowledge As we march in this millennium, electrical and digital instruments for humans' leisure time have proliferated rapidly. Notwithstanding their innumerable advantages, they cause some veritable side effects being (which are) irreversible. One of those disadvantages is shrinkage of reading time. It is worth bearing in mind that nowadays, the number of people watching television excessively is escalating being accelerated and this phenomenon renders cultural and social aggravation. Therefore, I believe that reading fictions is by far better than watching television. First and foremost, I myself advocate reading diverse materials such as novels, since it enforces our creativity and imagination. As an example, if a film is adapted from a definitive novel, every scenes, characters such as villains and heroes will be made by the writer/playwright/screenplay writerdirector. At the opposite ends of the spectrum, by reading the book, you have indefinite freedom to build your virtual world. In addition, who can deny decline the merits of reading novels with the aim of keeping our minds more dynamic and suppressing (suppression) aging /getting old? I would like to stress that psychologists have concluded that the brain activity while during watching television is even lesser than the situation when that we are asleep. Secondly, as it mentioned above, not only will reading fiction hones our imagination and creativity's capability, also it gives sufficiently social, historical and political information in the span of a certain time and during the specific dynasties. For instance, most of the literature was were have written in the nineteenth century in Russia, Germany, Belgium and some other European countries have depicted the first and second world wars and its harsh economic and social atmosphere. And Thirdly, The more you boost reading and studying, the more you gain an intellectual wisdom in different areas, specially, in life. As to acquiringe this knowledge, the number of novels narrating the biography of some successful persons such as scientists, musicians and politicians teaches us how to tackle the hurdles (uneven roads of our lives). Furthermore, we learn all peoples in all over the world have the same benefits and preferences and this itself leads ing to betterment of human society with more humanitye and altruism. To put it in a nutshell, I severely vote for reading fiction, because of its numerous profits such as keeping our minds more alive, giving efficient information about different nations and finally, its presentation of useful lessons about how it is better to live and behave towards each other.
