In this day and age, salary has become the determining factor in choosing a job. Yet, there has been much discussion revolving around whether having a job with which an excessive amount of money could be earned is more beneficial than having an enjoyable one. Although funds payments are of paramount significance for a person’s life, I opine that a desired job can benefit people on several grounds. On the one hand, that people work to pay for their living expenses in an undeniable fact. That is to say, a high wage incentives employees to dedicate themselves to their jobs in order to providing provide the means for a more assured and dependent life. Moreover, performing a profit-making job, individuals could accumulate the required means for their senior years in which they are to some extent prone to face financial difficulties as a result of the high possibilities of economic woes. However, these jobs, by and large, are taxing and stressful which may impose a pressure on employees, thereby leaving a negative impression on their well-being. On the other hand, those who have managed to find a job from which they take pleasure are more likely to become successful in it since they consider it as their lifelong vocation and perform their tasks wholeheartedly and enthusiastically. The number of prominent entrepreneurs who penetrate the market with their services proves that people are more likely to flourish in fields that they are passionate about. However, it is incumbent upon individuals to strike a balance between enjoying a job and earning money since a dead-end job with no profit would bring them to their knees, albeit willingly performed. In conclusion, while having a profitable business would protect people in the face of adversities, they are more likely to prosper in a job which they desire, hence the importance of securing a satisfying one with which they can afford their living expenses.
