It is clear that many places in the world rely heavily on tourism as a key to economic resources . however , it also can cause problems if it is not well-managed . A huge influx of tourists can lead to depletion of resources as well as, uniqueness and environment of the destination over time . Every year millions of people travel around the world . This phenomena phenomenon can cause tension between among people from different backgrounds. Visitors may have no understanding about local people's culture . There are a few countries which are trying to fill this gap . For instance, people are required German certification to get Germany's Visa or in Quebec if you have French certification , the Government offers bonuses . Although tourism creates Job opportunities , although they may beare low-level such as hotel services and bar work . it also makes governments improve substructures like public transportation since visitors tend to use public transportation in order to decrease their costs and it also helps them to communicate with local people more and more . Tourism means increase in population which can put pressure on natural resources and encourage over-consumption . This problem is even more evident in spots where food and water are already scarce . To sum it up , even though tourism has benefits, but it also can cause severe damages like cultural tension . So it must be managed well , otherwise officials should wait for a huge breakdown in the area .
