Do you agree or disagree? It is difficult for teachers to be both popular and effective in helping students in learning. There has been a heated debate over how to improve students’ learning for decades. Education experts place a premium on the relationship between teachers and students. I personally believe that an intimate relationship can facilitate the process of education. In the following paragraphs, I will elaborate on my arguments. To begin with, technology has unleashed a series of changes which have increased the generation gaps. These changes include the proliferation of youth’s toughness against the adults and their advice and not having regard to for social norms. As a result, the young generation is experiencing a different world from the previous ones. This different world can make it difficult for teachers to cope with the students. In my opinion, the only factor which can bring about guiding the students and increasing their learning is cultivating a warm relationship with them. My experiences have suggested that whenever I behaved friendly with my students and they considered me their own friend, they listened to me more enthusiastically. In fact, when you treat them kindly, they tell you about their opinions and interests. In that case, you can teach them according to their interests and design the activities which are derived from their favorite issues and activities, so their participation and learning will be at a high rate. Moreover, in light of the given changes, the young individuals are more exposed to identity problems which can disrupt their study, because they have a direct relationship with each other. It is undeniable that schools play a decisive role in the personality development of the students. Therefore, the school can play its own role if teachers develop emotional ties with children. If they are able to communicate with their students efficiently, the students will let them know about their problems and ask their advice. In fact, they are not to resolve their issues single-handedly and deteriorate aggravates their situationthem because of lack of experiences. As a result, teachers can contribute to improving the students’ function indirectly. To conclude, according to my experiences, the better relationship you have with your students, the higher scores they get. I wholeheartedly believe that the school appeals for to the students if the school’s teaching staff behave as a kindteacher instead of a tough guard. However, it should be considered that behaving in this way can bring about satisfactory results in the event of balancing kindness and firmness.
