Should governments spend more money on improving roads and highways, or should governments spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay. Public transportation is plays a key role in reduction in air pollution which is an important problem metropolises are facing today . therefore, many countries are pressing ahead with the idea to of extending various means of public transportation. Although building roads can reduce or eliminate traffic congestion but it is a temporary panacea and after a while the status quo will come back if not to get worse because we need to bear in mind that the idea of improving roads has hitherto been the most tangible way to tackle the problem of traffic or pollution which didn’t work properly. What we need now is not an evolution, but a revolution in transportation. the only problem, however, is to assimilate with new ideas. With new rules and regulations, also with by teaching children about being friendly to the nature and ways to do that, culture making can be done. Now days many European countries are trying to build underground roads to have more to have more space for social interaction and public places which individuals can walk safely. It can be beneficial for both reducing air and noise pollution. Investing on this idea can help us to get rid of the hustle and bustle of major cities and can be an extraordinary remedy for a grim industrial town. When the underground roads are build they can be combine with underground trains which are wonderful way for expanding public transportation. In conclusion, albeit road construction can have some impermanent pros, but we should build our society in a sustainable way and the best way to do that is to consume less finite sources like fuel. Some regulations can be introduced taxing the use of highways and public roads to decrease the use of personal cars.
