Using a computer every day can have more negative than positive effects on young children. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. Over the last decade, the pace of using the computer by children has increased beyond our expectations whereas such that they can be negatively affected by it. While computer skills have some advantages on for children’s activities, I do believe that the drawbacks of using them every day without any restriction far outweigh its benefits. To begin with, the computer proficiencies of young children can awaken their capabilities in terms of new technologies’ applications and computer sciences. Besides, children can operate with the Internet as well as adults. For instance, they can procure many educational tools from online shopping, communication communicate with their peers, obtaining more useful information about their courses, or learning helpful applications. Therefore, computer skills have many benefits for children’s activities if it isthey are under supervision. On the contrary, the first concern of sitting in front of a screen is damaging to both the eyes and the physical gesture of the young children regardless of what they are using the computer for. Furthermore, children are completely in contact with the a virtual world which may not exist in many regards, hence the importance of supervision. For example, although electronic games will fill up their leisure time, some of them like Assassins Creed which are promoting violence leads to spreading children’s roughness. Moreover, they will be self-centered and insensitive if they assimilate into the computer games. Thus, the daily use of computers can cause physical harms, or bad manners emerge in them. In conclusion, I would argue that the disadvantages of overusing computers by children without limitation outweigh its advantages. Parents must ensure that their children learn to enjoy other activities instead of merely working with computers.
