In some countries, young people are encouraged to work or travel for a year between finishing high school and starting university studies. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages for young people who decide to do this. In this day and age, some countries try to convince youth individuals to have gap between graduated from high school and starting university. There is a controversial debate over the topic nowadays and in this article I will describe both the pros and cons and clear my point of view. In general, during high school periods, all students have grown in an semi identical environments and most of them have common funs and trends, but in university they must dedicate their future life’s directions and chose proper major so they will understand dos and don’ts of society. In the past, in developed and developing countries all jobs were divided into two groups: blue collar and white collar that differentiated between working an office and practical jobs. While in today’s situation some chrome collar or green collar added to the mentioned category and vocational jobs or short training courses is going to spread in all aspects. With this regard, if secondary school students try to finding jobs or traveling to foreign countries, they can create better opportunity to understand other nation’s customs or determination appropriate jobs for them. Any society need plumbers, carpenters and other vocational jobs that no need to academic courses or degree and this gap make suitable situation for whom that finds their interest in practical professions. On the other hand, earning money during teenager periods may lead to destroy future life because they have no motivation to continue their education in university or engage to worse materials like cigarette or alcoholic. The debate undoubtedly will continue but to put it in a nutshell, from my estimation, it is better to combine these two different view and during education in university, providing related jobs regarding to every individual’s major is the best method to develop both practical and theory skill simultaneously.
