In today's international world, there are so many different types of languages existing, which belong to different cultures and countries. In consequence, international communications are becoming large and larger through a business matters or developing countries immigration. The closer different-language people become, the more multi-language lingual people will be needed to interpret. Therefore, current parents are carrying a concern about their children learning another language other than their mother-tongue. In this area, some researchers believe that the best time for learning a second language is the preschool ages, especially the very first three years of their lives. In from their point of view the foundation of any basic and important acquisition is being laid laying down and children's minds are more flexible to acquire a new language in these years. When a bilingual child learns the/a second language from the an early age, it sounds like he/she is a native in both. On the other hand, some other studies came to the result that experiential and cognitive limitations could burdening young-age children to reach their language acquisition skills peak. In from their viewpoint, the best age would be ten to fifteen, in other words adolescencets, inasmuch as though, they are more efficient and fast learners. Since they are already known their mother language perfectly, they will need less time to conquer a some new language. As a result, for more reasons than one, learning a second-language would be much more easier, if it happens beyond the puberty, but among the two mentioned theoriesy, I, myself, would prefer the adolescencets, because I had an experience of learning English in preschool age as my second language, and despite my good accent, I still miss some structural grammar points. |
