Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion Creating a system for judging and disciplining villains is quite an important issue. Not only should this system prevent people from becoming lawbreakers, but also it should be included with rules that treats felons with adequate responsed. In my opinion, a proper system would be a system that considers every aspect in committing a crime and chooses a punishment that is fitting with the illegal action. To achieve the greatest justice, we should observe all reasons that lead a criminal to committing it. For example, a good guydecent citizen may steal some food because his family are under extremely overwhelming breathtaking pressure. In this situation, his punishment should be different from someone who steals same amount of food just for fun. But there are some problems in the way of achieving such a system. This system is not completely practical. Considering that every aspect of a human's life is an extremely hard task and because of its complexity sometimes it is out of the question. On the other hand, setting a fixed punishment for each type of crime is very suitable for writing laws. It is easy to create a system with this type of judgment mechanism. Besides this, judging felons would be easier in this system. But the problem is that we do not have a just system and there would be some members whosem their rights would be downtrodden. In conclusion, a system which takes into account spot every aspect of a crime and treats every criminal differently would be more preferable for our communities. Unless although achieving this goal completely is not feasible, but we should spare no effort/try to create a system which is close to it. |
