Some people believe that allowing children to make their own choices on everyday matters (such as food, clothes and entertainment) is likely to result in a society of individuals who only think about their own wishes. Other people believe that it is important for children to make decisions about matters that affect them. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. There are different views about letting the children to decide on a daily basis in their life which might make them selfish. In my opinion, decision-making in childhood has a significantly positive influence in their life. On the one hand, it is true if the parents leave their children free to decide on basic matters, they might conceive that their wishes are always in priority. They are so too young to distinguish the goal of this liberty and because the parents try to afford all their requirements, they might grow as a self-centered individual in adulthood. For example, when a child tends to eat fast food, he may would ask his parents to afford it and because of the immediate parents' response to his request, he will would learn to focus on his wishes first. The more demand the child has, the more prone they are to provisions would be prepared to grow as a self-centered individuals in community. On the other hand, involving children in making to make outstanding decisions in this period would play a crucial role in their life. Children need to practice this in their routines such as wearing a desired clothes for schools or eating a favorite and healthy food. In addition, if they have the permission to decide themselves, they will would be able to focus on their goals and find an effective path. In my view, although these minor simple choices would seem trivial in daily life, in fact they are preparing for more challenging decisions which necessitate sound judgment. involved them to opt in critical situations. However effective this approach might would be, it is undeniable that the parents need to employ perform a wise approach to acquire an effective result in developing children by giving the choice permission. For instance, when a child wants to play a game with his peers, the parents should supervise the situation to contribute lead him to enquireing the others' idea and then decide. In this way, he would not become selfish. In conclusion, although it seems the children with choice permission in on a daily basis tend to become self-centered in adulthood in society, in my view, decision-making in childhood would be effective in future life and they would learn how to decide in more challenging aspects. |
