Nowadays technology is increasingly being used to monitor what people are saying and doing (for example, through cellphone tracking and security cameras). In many cases, the people being monitored are unaware that this is happening. Do you think the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages? It is true that supervising the people's activity has been feasible via the new technological devices such as mobile phones and surveillance cameras and also, the individuals' privacy have has become a controversial subject. In my view, the benefits significantly outweigh the drawbacks. The opponents group believe that we are losing our privacy by CCTVs in public places . However, I hold that Not only are not these cameras not threatening our privacy with by checking the situation or recording our voice, also they are protecting us against thief thieves .Firstly, In considering the issue problem, these cameras are installed in public places where their privacy is absolutely meaningless for the individuals. Secondly, there are always some warning signs pointing out to the installed cameras in the place, so the people would be aware of their existence. Finally, they are typically used for security reasons in airports, in metro stations and in the streets. Therefore, these facilities provide us with a more secure life in the society by catching thieves and offenders. On the other hand, the mobile phones give the possibility to be tracked by satellites; consequently, everybody would realize our location in every activity afforded by the smart phones .For instance, posting and uploading a picture on in Facebook demonstrates the location tag ,Nevertheless, there is a setting on all phones to turn the localization off when we are reluctant, therefore, the privacy would be maintained in this way .In addition, there are some applications benefiting from these technologiesy to contribute to time management .For instance, with the aid of Google Maps we would be able to opt for the more convenient route to the desired destination. In conclusion, although it seems that the modern gadgets are threatening our privacy, they give us the opportunity to have a more secure life by stopping ceasing the thieves or/and catching them .Furthermore, they contribute to managinge our invaluable and irreplaceable time by a variety of location-based services such as Google Maps.
