The pie charts below show units of electricity production by fuel source in Australia and France in 1980 and 2000. The pie charts illustrate a comparison of electricity generation through the five sources such as oil, hydro power and nuclear power in two countries, France and Australia in 2 distinct years. As it pictured in the charts, France's dependence on nuclear power increased in 2000, and reaching 126 units. Unlike France, Australia did not depended on nuclear power over 2 separate years. In Australia, the main resource fuel for electricity was coal which was used to produce 130 units in 2000. Besides, the usage of natural gas (remained unchanged ) was the same in France and Australia in 2000 (2 units). Moreover, there was not a big change in creation of oil‐based electricity in the 2 years in France (roughly 20 units). In contrast, Australia's reliance on oil declined in 2000 (2 units) in comparison with the 20 years back. In addition, the amount of hydro power units decreased in 2000 and reaching just 2 units. However, Australia's dependence on hydro power increased in 2000 (36 units from 20 units in 1980). To conclude, electricity production increased from 1980 to 2000 in both Australia and France
