Buying things on the Internet, such as books, air tickets and groceries, is becoming more and more popular. Do the advantages of shopping in this way outweigh the disadvantages? Nowadays, with the huge increase in using the internet and websites, the popularity of internetshopping has experienced a drastic growth in the last decade, which has become an inseparable part of people’s life. Despite the drawbacks of this kind of shopping, it seems that the benefits of using the internet for shopping outweigh the disadvantages. Comfortable buying seems to be the first gift of online-shopping, in other words, the main difference of buying on the internet and shopping from stores in person is the convenience. For example, by pushing just several buttons you can do your errands without going anywhere. Moreover, saving time seems to be another precious achievement of buying on the internet. Consider the situation that where someone would be running out of time if he they wanted to go and buy an air ticket or another critical purchasing, but he they can buy the ticket in just a few seconds. Investigating the products that someone tends to buy is a huge step on in/toward online-shopping. The consumer takes his time and easily reads everything about the products, compares it with the other ones, and searches as much as he needs. On the other hand, besides the numerous advantages of purchasing online, the drawbacks cannot be ignored. Online frauds with phishing seem to be the main problem of online shopping. Every day lots of people are trapped on the internet by cyber scammers and lose their money. Take the example that where someone would not pay decent attention to the web site that they are using to pay the money for their purchases and submit their credit card information on a wrong portal. Moreover, sometimes the procedure of online-shopping is too complicated, especially for the one who is not familiar with the internet and using websites, that which cause a lot of troubles for both consumer and seller. Overall, in my opinion, in spite of the risks of purchasing online, saving time and the convenience of buying on the internet are completely worthwhile.
