The government now plans to establish some car-free zones in the center of the city. Some like this plan for they believe it can help eliminate traffic congestion, while others dislike it because not being able to reach places like stores and restaurants by car is very inconvenient to them. What do you think of this plan and why? Nowadays, everyone in a family who can achieve a driving license purchases a car. As a result, there would be lots of vehicles with an one single individual in itthem. Considering the restrained restricted roads in most of the cities, this leads to a dramatic city issue as we known of traffic. Governments are addressing the issue with different approaches. Whether they are functional or acceptable by citizens has always been a moot point. The recent heated debate around the subject is the new plan in which the government has been defined some city areas as car-free which has given rise to the dissatisfaction and unsatisfactory of a group of residents. Considering the traffic detrimental effects on the environment, I do agree with the proposed plan. First of all, we need to know the negative results of traffic congestions of which most important is the air pollution. Air pollution is the origin of numerous health problems such as strokes and heart diseases and lung-disfunctions. Secondly, heavy traffics plays a main role in wasting the precious time of people and leads to people feeling more exhausted. the traffic problem must be resolved and this is crucially urgent. There can be various solutions and one of them is to make people eager people to use more public transportation rather than using their own cars. However, people mostly resist against the plan because of the convenient convenience that the personal transportation may have for them. In this situation the government can interfere by some legislations such as banning the cars in city centers especially during the day. At first not only might this plan make people unhappy but also can result in some disobeying/disobedience. Police must be in charge and set/impose some fines in order to control the situation. In the long-term, however, people will recognize the positive aspects of the obligatory, namely a clear sky and breathable pleasant weather and less time consumption wasted/lost in traffic. In conclusion, I am definitely in favor of such plans for use using more public transportation instead of personal vehicles in order to constraint limit using fossil fuels which is a main reason for air pollution and its related defects. Moreover, we have a responsibility to preserve our planet for the future generation.
