Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Students are more interested in politics now than they were in the past. Political issues seem to be challenging and sophisticated more than any time in the history of human living. While some believe that students are more inclined toward studying other majors, I believe that many of them are becoming more interested into in politics than they were before, because academic positions are more available, every matter has a political side in it and change in the society is more probable by having this knowledge. First of all, one of the considerable changes in recent decades was has been establishing more universities and various majors, where more and more enthusiasts could seize the opportunity to follow their passion through academic studies. Although politics has always been a matter of speculation for centuries, it seems that in recent years it is becoming more viral to study political science in university. Given the chance, students have become more fascinated by realizing the mechanisms/inner workings of a well-designed society, what constitutes a political opinion or how people’s lives are affected by these structures/paradigm. Besides, many humanistic majors such as psychology or sociology, have politics political courses in their curriculum, encouraging learners to delve deeply into this subject and find its hidden aspects. As a result, the more positions are available in academic fields for followers, the more knowledgeable characters will likely to show up in political positions. Moreover, it seems that even humans’’s daily life is somehow intertwined with politics in many ways. Considering the petrol price in the United State; if there is a political crisis in the Middle East it can directly increase the prices on the other side of the planet. Furthermore, if you are an academician, living in a developing country like Iran and your country is being imposed by under international sanctions, it is impossible to publish your article in some of the scientific journals. The other example is that when a person wants to download an application on their cell phone, the accessibility to some of the applications are is limited, which does not give them the permission to download whatever they are, only because they are living in that specific country. With all mentioned above, it is not surprising that many students are now becoming more curious about politics, because they want to know how their lives have changed dramatically by living in this era. As a consequence, this can bring awareness for many individuals to protest against their living condition. Finally, change happens when people are not only aware of their situation, but also they play an active role in achieving their rights. It is said that students play a major role in political dilemmascrises, as they are young and passionate and have the courtesy to fight for what they want. When this educated community asks for a transformation, nothing can stops them. Great revolutions owe their existence to the young well-informed generation whose deeds resulted in having a totally different society. Therefore, people from all walks of life find the opportunity to live in a peaceful society. To sum up, I believe that students are becoming more attracted to politics. I suggest that educational policy makers allocate specific political courses in all the majors in the universities. Because by having eager students in politics the prospective candidates will be more suited in their position, more groups of people join protests and there will be a healthy society.
