When a country develops its technology, the traditional skills and ways of life die out. It is pointless to try and keep them alive. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?89 ************** Changed by modern technology, our ability and methods of life are beginning to fade. To my mind though those old methods and techniques are not as useful in today’sthe recently daily life, we have to preserve them because of their historical and cultural values. Firstly, I believe that traditional skills and ways of life are our cultural heritages and affirms our identity as a member of country and we have to keep up them, however, we are not dependence upon them in daily life. That’s why some of the countries used some museum to live preserve those methods for new generations. For example in my country people used to dig series of wells to collect and transfer water in desert which are called Ghanat/qanat. Although those traditional method was replaced by new ways, it has been registered as one of the Iranian heritage and we still save some of them to depict show new generations how our ancestors lived. Secondly, tourism is one of the main industry in the world which have has profoundly positive effects in economic boom. The Traditional and cultural style of life in countries are is attractive for tourists and if governments want to increase their revenue from the tourism industry, they need to carry on the old traditional traditions in order to advertise and attract visitors. For instance, the way and skill of handicraft carpet is one of the particular appeals of my country which in turn results in increasing visitors’ numbers. To sum up, I strongly believe we need to save over traditional heritage, not only because of their attraction for tourists, but also to preserve cultural heritages which is inextricably linked to our traditional skills and ways.
