It is widely accepted that people who have post-school qualifications earn a higher salary than those less educated do. University students should, therefore, pay all the full cost incurred over the course of obtaining a college education. To what extent do you agree or disagree? An overwhelming majority of people subscribe to the view that tertiary education should not be funded by governments reasoning that graduates from higher education centers will earn handsome salaries, therefore it is incumbent upon students to pay for their education. When it comes to this notion, I hold that free education can perhaps pave the way for talented students who cannot afford the cost of higher education and not tax payers. It goes without saying that higher education is one of the main pillars of a civilized society, hence the importance of free education for certain people. I opine that if tertiary education centers charge all students, many gifted young individuals face difficulty to pursuing their education owing to their financial problems. Though provision of free education for people from all walks of life may not seem like a wise solution, students coming from lower social strata to some extant extent do not tend to enroll for higher education because of their formidably financial plight. Despite various benefits, higher education can demand a considerable amount of public funds, and that is why free education is not considered a high priority in many parts of the world. Officials can introduce appropriate rules with which lower income students can benefit from to cover their expenses during education years based on their results and level of income. Wave Waiving the tuition fee and offering monthly salary for eligible students can be a logical solution with which not only can all student continue their education, but the government can spend their funds more reasonably. To cut a long story short, I must say that I do agree with free higher education, but not for everyone. Arguably those who can afford their cost have to incur their expenses. Considering the current economic climate across the globe, we must make an informed choice to keep the cost reasonable. I argue that though hard, but it is time we removed the obstacles for gifted people so that they can lift a variety of humans’ plight in the future.
