Increasing the price of petrol is the best way to solve growing traffic and pollution problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree? What other measures do you think might be effective? These days most governments in all over the world endeavour to tackle heavy traffic and severe pollution in their cities and in this way some of them just introduce the most simple solutions to deal with these enormous problems. One of these handy approaches, which is proposed, is the raising the petrol's price even though it is clear that the issues are not solved straightforwardly. Although it seems that increasing the price of petrol can force people to park their cars in garages, if we do not prepare alternative facilities to commuting, they will take their cars again. First, we require strong and sophisticated public transportations in our cities. The subway and BRT are practical means moving transitting citizens in metropolitan cities and it would seems that they have been tested for many years and now are embraced by the public. For instance, consider New York City in the US depending on its huge subway system to transfer millions of people in a day. In addition, if governments have a plane to raise go up the fuel's prices, they should consider some new technological methods for compensating the side effects of this increasing. The internet and IT industry have set up many useful facilities for changing traditional ways for of living. These days, people have an access to the high-speed internet giving them the remote working possibility from their home and it is an incredible chance for businesses, employees and also urban officials to decrease traffic and therefore pollution. Moreover, some interactive mobile applications provide a platform for passengers to share their commute routes with neighbours or colleagues. These convenient carpooling apps reduce the rate of solo driving and improve communication in society. In conclusion, it appears that adopting one approach to manage a big problem like heavy traffic would not be practical and thereby we should employ some parallel actions to make a great change for citizens and our environment.
