A person's worth nowadays seems to be judged according to social status and material possessions. Old-fashioned values, such as honor, kindness and trust, no longer seem important. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. In the past few decades, old-fashioned values such as honesty, integrity and kindness are have become becoming less important. Regrettably people are increasingly judging going to judge others by their material possessions and wealth. Not only do people want to gain a high social status by their money, but also they want to show that they are more important as if asif they were better humankind. However, there are parameters which show that old-fashioned values are more vital and valuable for every society. One could argue that many rich people receive attention and respect according to their social possessions and family wealth rather than their outstanding behavior or talent. For instance, some celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton who are known as rude talentless celebrities with indecent behavior and personality whom they have gotten famous by their wealth but not by their efficient works. On the flip side, old-fashioned values such as honor and trust are crucial elements in developing society and theywhich may have useful effects on people's lives. Moreover, these elements may have a significant impact on the next generation's life style. Therefore, the family institution should be built on these values to rise raise a better generation. Against this background, in the last two decades the world is becoming a materialistic place where the new generation tends to work long hours in hopes of with a hope of getting rich in the future. This generation is willing to have a high class position in society in comparison with the previous generation. Supposedly old-fashioned values are fading however obvious their importance. of them are obvious. Thus, society will progress positively if we raise our children in a way that they learn about honesty, kindness, trust and integrity.
