TOPIC: Some parents buy their children a large number of toys to play with. What are the advantages and disadvantages for the child having a large number of toys? In order to enhance children's intellectual development, there is an increasing number of parents who spend a fortune on purchasing verity variety of toys for their offspring. Based on conducted researches, toys play a key role in developing children's imaginations, whereas others oppose hold that this can make children spoiled. The pros and cons for children having lots of toys will be discussed in this essay. Undoubtedly, toys are more than just fun and games for kids. Most toys provide at least some opportunity for children to learn. The best toys engage a child's senses, spark their imaginations and encourage them to interact with others. Providing a wider range of toys to children to play with can actually build a verity variety of resources. Designed to be educational, modern toys, improve children's problem solving skills as well as being fun. Not only can children learn a lot from playing, but also they have been given a chance to learn and have fun at the same time. In this way, they develop a positive attitude toward learning. On the other hand, opponents argue that providing toys for children excessively also brings negative impacts on them. Many parents spoil their offspring by purchasing whatever they want. Those children will have a strong desire to acquire more toys which leads to an unhealthy lifestyle. Moreover, the more available toys for children, the less valued they will be and take care of them. In conclusion, by analyzing both sides, it seems that the advantages of possession of toys are outweigh the disadvantages. To this end, it is essential for parents to learn how to limit the number of toys that kids have to play with.
