Morteza Nemti Writing Task II #16 People should keep all the money they earn and should not pay taxes to the state. Do you agree or disagree? Excessively exhausted due to daily hard work, many people would ask why they are paying a painfully considerable proportion of their income as tax. Although it is totally understandable, what they are obliged to know is that this process do that they may not naturally like is absolutely in their own favor despite being unpleasant. The reason why people are paying taxes of different kinds is no longer pleasing the government which might have been a hateful common reason hundreds of years ago. In other words, the whole tax collected throughout the country nowadays goes directly to the treasury of the government where the budget it is kept safely to be planned to be spent on or invested in what, the government hopefully objectively believes, benefits the community most. Safety of people, their properties, the community and the competitive business atmosphere, regulatory in the state's affairs and convenience of the many facilities people need to use to play their role in society are what those plans are concerning. Regardless of people's tendency and strongest beliefs which could be entirely in contrast, what people earn through the jobs they hold is not all theirs to independently and individually decide on its whole as to that how and on what it ought to be spent. Society has a share in that which makes a certain part of it a public asset/possession. There are definitely critics to the idea that has been discussed, so far. They may argue that all people do something that the state benefits from and they claim that people have done what is incumbent upon them, which they think exempts them from taxes. Yet, seemingly it is not reason enough to support their claim. Still, in sociologists' opinion, citizens they need to pay taxes to the community, providing them with highly important means of success, namely opportunities, justice, security and safety, insurance and many other needs/things without any of which they were not even able to keep doing their own jobs. This payment is not a way to show their gratefulness, but to let this trend permanently continue, in fact.Morteza Nemti Writing Task II #16 Followed from the above, my personal belief is that what people pay in this regard, is not a waste of money they have earned and hardly would this be considered a loss. Rather, It is a responsibility they should eagerly assume to guarantee their country's future as well as theirs.
