The critical Reading of" Rope" by Porter Like the majority of literary works Porter's" Rope" short story, the woman is the eye of her fiction. The woman confronts two burdens in her life: domesticity and social position. Porter wrote a story about a woman who is not understood understand by the society or even her family and is trapped in an unhappy marriage. Her husband had no connection with her personal feelings. Neither of them accepts their own fault in the argument. The nameless and undescribed man and woman refer to the fact that they have no knowledge about behaving toward with each other. They should find the interest of each other's interests each other. knowledge could make them to be a the different person, consequently, this will give them a the better way of life. They ignore their needs and the origin of the internal hatred. The "Rope" as the metaphor for their failure and also can symbolize the only thing keeping them together. Coffee made her happy and brought bring relaxation, affection, and peace for her but all of these this things were ignored by her husband. They live separately in their own worlds. To sum up, this is the man who wants to keep their relation because once again one more he brought the rope inside. In addition, at the end , we see the woman is more flexible and forgiving than before. this may give the chance to decide which of two wants to protect their marriage.
