Employers sometimes ask people applying for personal information, such as their hobbies and interests, and whether they are married or single. Some people say that this information may be relevant and useful. Others disagree. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Some people believe that it is useful for employers to know about personal life of persons whom they want to hire them. I think it could be useful for employers to know if/whether someone is suitable for an occupation or not. But for respecting to job seekers’ privacy, only questions about the information that could influence on employees' work should be asked. Some personal details like interests, hobbies or marital status could have effect on someone’s performance at work. In some cases, have having a particular interests might be necessary for doing some work, otherwise s wise it could be exhausting, so. So it is important for managers to know about these kinds of information before they employ someone. For instance, if a company needs an engineer for an offshore project, they may prefer singles because they don't need to visit their family regularly. Although having personal information of applicants could help employers to make the right decision, it might be unpleasant for applicants to share these details. On the other hand, the most important factor for in doing a job well could be experience and usually if someone have has enough experience in a job, they he/she have the proper personality for it. So there is no reason to ask him/her about their personal life. At the end, in my opinion asking about personal information for a job interview could help managers to hire an appropriate person. But employers should respect to work seekers’ privacy and ask only necessary questions about issues that could have effect on how employees work.

As computers translate quickly and accurately , learning foreign languages is a waste of time? To what extent do you agree or disagree? Over the last half century , parallel to the development of mass-media and the internet around the world , both online and offline dictionaries which can be easily installed on PCs, laptops as well as cellphones , are have been developed. While in the past for finding a the meaning of specific word , you had to search different hard copies, today by a simple search in on the internet , you discover different meanings of any words in different languages. Some people believe as computers quickly and accurately translate, learning a new language is a waste of time. In this essay I am going to compare different advantages and disadvantages of this issue. For instance, as in my experience , I had to translate a Chinese article to Persian and you knowobviously the learning of this language is a little hard. Anyway by the Google translate software I did that easily. First it was translated to English then to Persian. Although I could translate the article in a relatively short period of time by the minimum time as possible , two months later when I went to china for business ,I could not speak with locals and it forced me to hire a translator. It is impossible that the result of the process of learning a language that takes a long times will be equal to the function of the computers. Moreover, anyhow sometimes computers could not transfer your exact meaning. In my opinion, computers are so useful for translating the texts and to some extent speaking about minor tasks. However , when you want to communicate with foreign people for some greater goals , such as participating in an international Seminar or contracting signing a contract with a foreign company , being fluent on in their language is required . As in conclusion , Not only is not learning a foreign language not a waste of time, but rather also necessary.

The continued rise in the world’s population is the greatest problem faced by humanity at the time. What are the causes of this continued rise? Do you agree that it is the greatest problem faced by humanity? Over the last centuries, the number of individuals in population has been rising dramatically, hence many hardships such as depletion of non-renewable resources which may endanger our future. This potential problem is the confluence of some facts like sanitary reforms and improvements in farming. Although several factors have been cited as the cause of the population growth, the most crucial one is medical advancement. For instance, around 1350 A.D. the Black Death also known as Great Plague killed about 200 millions people in Eurasia. Also, even though the rate of fertility is declining, the life expectancy has been increasing recently owing to advanced public health measures. Therefore, the decrease in mortality, particularlymarkedly that in children/childhood mortality, has an improving effect on the earth population. Vaccination is an example of this improvement, so not only can highly improved hygiene provide people with a better quality of life, but also rarely are human beings especially infants deceased wasted by inadequate medical facilities. Another effective item that can be taken into account is agricultural productivity, which is attainable now by using of new technologies. The increasinged pace of technological developments in several areas and practicing them in agriculture causes the rise of rising the modern farming methods thereby dispensing abundant crop husbandry products. Thus, the critically important necessity of humans’ life, adequate nutrition, has been provided by virtue of this advancement. Consequently, overpopulation can be considered one of the concerns which threaten future generations. Whilst some people believe and hope that scientists will find its solution, irrespective of the way of addressing this issue, the publics should be ascertained if humanity is in peril by this matter or not.

Some people think that strict punishments for driving offenses are the key to reducing traffic accidents. Others, however, believe that other measures would be more effective in improving road safety. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Every day many people are killed or seriously mutilated in roads. While some people argue that it is important to impose serious punishments on drivers who break the law, it seems to me that other steps should be taken for providing safer roads On one hand, extreme punishments such as heavy fines, revoking the driver's license, and even prison might lead to fewer traffic accidents in short term. In cities, many inconsiderate people drive unconsciously while being under the influence of alcohol or drug. If drivers were aware of serious punitive consequences, not only would they think twice before risking other people’s lives, but also pedestrians would feel more confident walking around. Furthermore, many people depend on their vehicles to commute and run errands on a daily basis, so that governments deprive them of their cars could undoubtedly affect their life quality. Also, many accidents are the result of passing red lights or using mobile phones while driving. Issuing expensive tickets for these drivers could act as a deterrent for many drivers, as it levies a financial burden on drivers. Thus, we would witness less fewer accidents caused by these offenses. On the other hands, it is perhaps even more crucial to alleviate the effect of other external factors if we aim at achieving more secure roads. Firstly, many highways have not been built with minimum safety considerations. For one, motorists, unless roads were equipped with enough lights, ordinarily would not have a clear vision, which may cause terrible clashes between cars and even people who are crossing the streets; in addition, obliging manufacturers to use the latest safety equipment and tests in their cars should be considered. Cars, in many countries, should have airbags, ABS brakes, and pass vigorous crash tests before being releaseding into the market. Defined carefully, these safety regulations lead to less far fewer unfortunate accidents and safer roads. In conclusion, whilst the positives of punitive approaches cannot be overlooked, I believe that governments should invest more in other safety measures like safer cars and roads.

“Some people think that all university students should study whatever they like. Others believe that they should be allowed to study subjects that will be useful in the future such as those related to science and technology.” With regard to the close cooperation between university and industries, governments take some measures to pave the way for university graduates. However, an issue has sparked an intense debate as to whether students are eligible to pick their desired courses for their future or the decision makers have the right to do so on their behalf. I firmly hold the view that, shaping students perceptions concerning their course to seek is a matter incumbent upon educational systems as well as policy makers. Many argue that any educational system should respect students’ interests as well as giving them the multiple choices to select. This idea of regarding students’ tendencies in every society will end up helping graduates flourish flourishing graduates who not only have chosen their own enjoyable courses but also have satisfied fulfilled their motivations ambition. Moreover, with the pursuit of one’s desire, less objections and obsessions will occur within the society. Therefore, the a large number of graduates with the knowledge of the consequences will step into the working community, albeit unemployed but content in their opinions. While some believe that students should be at liberty to choose their university subjects, others take a challenging argument in which the job requirements and the youth unemployment rate play fundamental roles. An operating industry sends signals to the universities concerning its job requirements. Correspondingly, the educational system provides the courses and topics necessary for the growth of the industry. In this way, that system acts upon its needs, being met, and shapes the way in on which people are expected to study with the foresight. Accordingly, the unemployment rate declines dramatically, hence the a prosperous society without unemployment problem. It seems, therefore, the argument, favoring practicality of courses and with students propensity being partly ignored, sounds more to the point and rational. As observed around us, annually, a great number of high degree university graduates finish their educations end up unemployed. To prohibit this issue the policy makers seem to have to take such actions to tackle unemployment among youngsters.
