<p align="left" dir="ltr">
Should parents be obliged to immunize their children against common
childhood diseases? Or do individuals have the right to choose not to immunize
their children?
At this moment in time, with spectacular growth and substantial advances in
medical science taking place far and wide, a vigorous debate has arisen as to
whether or not parents should be pressurized into vaccinating their
charges/offspring. However, I take the view that with us living in a world replete
with evidence-based research, it is imperative for parents to abide by the findings
of scientists’ surveys. That is to say, the responsibility lies with every parent to
inoculate their children against various diseases.
Some individuals are of the opinion that irrespective of the situation, no curbs
should be imposed on human discretion over their decisions. They draw attention
to the essence of a concept, namely free will, which is the ability to choose
between different possible courses of action unimpeded. Moreover, they
arguably draw attention to the fact that some vaccines may have side effects such
as allergic reactions. Although the issue adverted to might be true, it is worth
mentioning such side effects are extremely rare and undoubtedly the drawbacks
of vaccines are eclipseddwindled by the benefits, hence the significance of due
vaccination for children.
However, as far as I am concerned, ignorance and lack of knowledge are to blame
for such notions owing to the fact that parents are to shoulder the responsibility
to shield their children from contracting diseases, and all the more so, some of
them are life-threatening and incurable though preventable. By the same token,
the stubborn resistance of some parents to immunizing their own offspring could
render other vulnerable individuals in jeopardy, inasmuch as some of these
conditions are contagious. Furthermore, it is worth bearing in mind(that?)
nowadays, thanks to developing vaccines people are not anymore suffering some
of the? infectious fatal diseases such as smallpox and cattle plague which have
already been successfully eradicated.
The main conclusion to be drawn from this discussion is that parents should not
be entitled to have the right not to immunize their children. Far from it, strictregulations should be set and enforced to compel them to vaccinate their children
albeit reluctantly, lest they jeopardize their children’s health.

Some people use the Internet to search for solutions to their medical problems. Is it a positive
or negative development? Give your own opinion and examples from your experience.
In this day and age, the Internet plays a pivotal role in almost every aspect of human life.
However, there has been a heated debate amongst individuals as to whether the online
medical information provided by cyber platforms has more benefits than drawbacks or not. I
would argue that if the content of these sites is controlled precisely by professionals in order to
prevent spreading misleading data, people can reap the benefits from them on several grounds.
On the one hand, it is true that many a person searches their symptoms on the Internet prior to
any other action when they feel unwell which could negatively affect their wellbeing. To start
with, not every information on the Internet has been written by specialists who consider all the
contributing factors in an illness. Moreover, doctors with years of study and work diagnose an
illness by asking questions about patients’ history, physical examination and keeping them
under surveillance for a period of time. That is to say, it is too simplistic an approach to start
curing based on a general review of a disease and its common symptoms written by an
anonymous writer since a wrong decision could leave a detrimental effect on one a person’s
health.
On the other hand, reading simplified articles about health issues, people can raise their
awareness towards their body in order to prevent some ailments and diseases. In other words,
the accurate and reliable information can shed light on many small symptoms sending an alert
about an illness which was underestimated before. That the early diagnosis and medication can
prevent a severe illness such as cancer from getting so acute is an undeniable fact, hence the
importance of having comprehensive information about medical issues, thereby preventing
many potential diseases in the future. In addition, some minor ailments such as flu can be cured
by reading some advice online. These illnesses are not life threatening and by curing them at
home people can lessen the workload of medical practitioners.
In conclusion, while the content on the Internet can be highly misleading, reading them it can
be so informative that it could save people’s life and reduce the workload of the already
overwhelmed medical staff and health care system.

Some people are of the opinion that prisons are basically universities of crime, fostering the king of
behaviors they aim to eradicate, and are, therefore, not effective. Others feel that prison life in is not
hard/harsh enough. Discuss the arguments on both sides of the issue. What is your opinion the matter?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nowadays, the effectivity of crime prevention measures, especially confinement, has been frowned
upon/has come under fire, all the less so with escalating crime figures which are a proof of the
ineffectiveness of detention. As for the grounds for this complication, some people are inclined to attribute
it to the fact that prisons are not tough enough on offenders whereas others reflect that the reason lies
with the fact that correctional facilities are breeding places of criminality.
With respect to the former group, they conceive of penitentiaries as places that where offenders (who
perpetrated) perpetrating felonies must be strictly controlled and even forbidden of basic rights with a view
to appreciating those rights after they are released, lest they reoffend.
From the perspective of the latter group, not only are correctional facilities not conducive to eliminating
crimes, but also they sow the seeds of the very offence that has brought the alleged victim before the law
court at first. Despite efforts being exerted to preclude crime, detainees in a prison will inevitably share
their methods of engaging in manifold offences and , thereby affecting other detainees, especially juvenile
delinquents who are more liable to be influenced. On the other hand, it is a given that criminal gangs do
exist in penitentiaries, promoting practices such as intravenous drug using or physical assault.
As far as I am concerned, albeit challenging to find, there is a fine line between being tough enough on a
criminal and preventing the convict from feeling outraged and thereby seeking revenge from
society/nature/the environment. As the pressure on inmates builds up, they are inclined to feel more
inflamed as to the way they are being treated which, in turn, will invite future crimes, trapping the criminal
in a vicious circle, hence the failure of this strategy. As for the view of prisons being universities of crime, my
firm conviction is that this is the very problem we need to address, otherwise young lawbreakers will turn to
felons.
The main conclusion to be draws drawn is that should we genuinely aspire to make prisons an effective
measure of combating crime, exerting pressure on inmates will not be a pragmatic approach, emphasizing
the importance of prospecting for alternative initiatives.

In some countries children have very strict rules of behavior, in other countries they are
allowed to do almost anything they like. To what extent should children have to follow
rules?
An appropriate behavior with/toward children and adolescence, now, is regarded as a fundamental
issue. Many believe that this matter is a vital factor in the future of humanity. In most societies,
children likely face firm behavioral rules to follow; whereas, their counterparts in other places are not
made to follow, obey, observe, respect chase specific laws. The question is as to which of these
trends could be considered the most efficient approach to take?
Society might encounter/face serious problems if children are raised with severe rules; that is, being a
coward is the most probable result of tight restrictions. To put it another way, children have
insufficient bravery to pursue their interests; hence, society will probably suffer from a lack of
creativity and braveness of people. Due to the nature of the penalty coming experienced infrom
childhood, in the future they will be adults withare often conservative attitudes, so they do not tend to
express themselves clearly. The lack of innovation/creativity/brainchild in Iranian’s company
companies is the best example of this view.
Freedom in all the affairs, on the other hand, may contribute to bringing up (upbringing of) a child as
an irresponsible individual in his life. According to psychologists believe rules can play a crucial role in
responsibility since children are accountable for their actions. Apart from this, a considerable number
of people believe that children who are allowed to act freely generally will be rude and aggressive
people. For instance, plenty of anti-social behaviors have resulted from limitless actions.
In conclusion, although freedom in events can lead to more creativity, self-esteem, and courage, in
the meantime has have its their own drawbacks as well. From my point of view, moderation is the
best course which should be taken in all affairs otherwise both groups of children will face difficulties
during their adult life.s

Telecommuting refers to workers doing their jobs from home for part of each week and
communicating with their office using computer technology. Telecommuting is growing in many
countries and is expected to be common for most office workers in the coming decades.
How do you think society will be affected by the growth of telecommuting?
The spread of telecommuting is proving to be effective in many parts of the world and especially with
the advancements that technology brought upon, it is becoming more and more frequent and
unchallenging. It is an interesting way of working which enables workers to save up their commuting
time and their energy for more important matters and the fact that assigned tasks can be performed in
a quiet place with more focus is undoubtably undeniable.
As mentioned, the growth of telecommuting can be of numerous advantages and those which affect the
society as a whole are that not only the congestion we faced on streets will decrease dramatically, but
also, the air pollution drops as well. The Covid-19 pandemic forced some organizations and even
governments to employ such a strategy to prevent further spread of the disease and this enforcement
made them realize that teleworking has many pros and some are even considering continuing it for even
after the pandemic ends and for a major part of their coming lifetime. The statistics of efficiency of
telecommuters, which has been published in some papers, indicate that the majority of people who
experienced telecommuting are not only performing much better than before but also their creativity
and even responsibility has risen to a great extent. Although this relies on the characteristics of
employees and it is even proven that some people are taking advantage of this provided option. Some
are working two jobs and doing their tasks simultaneously in an unacceptable way in other company
that they work in and some are even ditching their job doing nothing, leading to a situation where that
neither of the assigned duties are performed as the employers desired. With time passing, monitoring
systems regarding workers’ performance are being upgraded as well and entrepreneurs can now make
sure that their staff are carrying out their jobs just as they should and with this in mind, it can be assured
that telecommuting can be a great incident/phenomenon for both parties.
To sum up, telecommuting is a double-edged sword and though it is awesomebeneficial, it is not
applicable to everyone due to their circumstances or characters but eventually to choose one, I believe
that it is a great matter that has been introduced to peoples’ people’s lives and gradually everyone can
get used to this way of working, because so far, it is has been shown that its merits outweigh the
demerits.
