Many people believe that it is a good idea to have a dress code at work places. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give your opinion and examples from your own experience? For years companies have tried to manage employees’ dress and appearance in other to achieve more benefits and they have called it dress code policy. However, from my point of view, today we do not requre these kinds of rules unless in some special occasions. Primarily, dress codes suppress diversity and individuality. While some companies need to impose some rules in their employees’ appearance for their own benefits, these restrictions destroy people’s differentiation and indeed this is the diversity that has significant impacts on society and virtually increase creativity. Moreover, freedom of choice is one of the basic needs of humankind and by apply dress codes we will get this right from workers who generally have to spend most of their time in workplaces. Similar to military and dictatorial regimes, some businesses try to controls their staff by shape up their look and then their behaviour so that they convert to creatures like robots who can only obey owners’ orders. Second and from a more positive perspective, these kinds of work limitations arise discomfort for some. Many people are used to wear some clothes that they feel relax in them and by forcing them to wear the other ones companies actually put them in unwanted conditions like embarrassment or inconvenience. As my experience, software programmers need to be completely calm when they are coding and this relaxation usually starts from the body condition. Lastly, it seems that a workplace where all people dress like each other is pretty boring. Though wearing a same uniform and having a haircut look neat and tidy, it would be monotonous. In such workplaces, people have to get used to repetitive scenes and we do not have this chance to praise others’ look or even criticise it. In conclusion, although dress codes have some advantages for companies like advertisements and a professional image, except in some special situations like safety, it would seem that look policies should be changed in favour of the freedom and welfare of humans.

The way people appear at their workplace has changed dramatically over the years, especially in the last two decades. While in many firms employees are free to wear whatever they want, in some places the staff are encouraged and/or required to follow a more defined and professional dress code to maintain a professional image of themselves and the business. I believe that not only does wearing a business attire have a positive impact on customers but it also improve punctuality and discipline amongst employees. A case in point is the dress code follows in army where hierarchical organization could not be recognized if officers do not wear their specific uniforms. Being identified by their white uniforms, medical staff around the globe are easily recognized even on the battle fields. Additionally, we should bear in mind that the appearance of individuals represents the organization and efficiency of their workplace, hence the importance of having a dress code. I hold the idea that, applying strict rules about people’s outfit can arouse resistance, decrease job satisfaction and lessen creativity among employees. Arguably wearing official clothes is not easy for everyone, and this can cause a lower performance of people who are not used to wearing official suites. Although many critics argue that this approach can result in untidiness and irregularity, I believe it can improve creativity and strengthen sense of responsibility to the company where employees are respected only because of nothing but their productivity. By way of conclusion, I maintain that asking the payees to follow a specific dress of code is not a wise decision although for sure even in otherwise workplaces many a people does not like to wear a casual clothes. Furthermore, I am of the idea that wearing or not wearing a uniform at the workplace highly depends on the field of work and types of duties people are expected to fulfill.

To begin with, not only can it facilitate the implement of jobs, but also it can increase the efficiency and accuracy of the production’s process. In other words, human errors can be reduced provided that these new industrial and scientific discoveries are exerted. Moreover, through drawing a comparison between the situation of today’s employees and that of their previous counterparts, space and time boundaries can be eliminated readily. Employees can work from anywhere and anytime. On the other hand, new technology can pose a threat to employees. Firstly, mass automation and computerization as the figure of these alterations can lead to downsizing the workforce. Furthermore, it is well-documented that the more easily the situations, the less creative the workers, so despite reducing human errors, it may result in a downward trend in efficiency of the workers. Prestigious statistics suggest that confrontations between authorities and employees decrease by virtue of modern technology. However, these have actually occurred due to a plunge in their face time. Inviting them to quarterly review of company performance either is a good performance or poor performance will give the sense of belonging. The other factor that play a key role in employees wellbeing is feeling of being valuable. Spending over 10 hours a day at work and getting involvedto issues and obstacles of a work environment that may come across every day will make people sometimes exhausted. In spite of all daily challenges at the end of the day that sense of having added value on the progress and performance of overall company will make them satisfied. Hence, just a thank you , well-done once in a while or even a recognition in a meeting can give that sense to employees. That does not seem an high expectation. And the third factor plays an important part in people wellbeing is their development in their career. Some people work for daily earnings and they may not came to the point that they need to be developed over a time. The fact is that it cannot be their primary need. But, those people that are satisfied with their earnings and have the feeling of inclusion and valuable at their job, will seek another need of them, which is their career development. They need some motives more than inclusion and being valuable. They are looking for promotion and development. Not having the option for raise or development will diminish employee’s motivation easily. In conclusion, there are factors plays crucial role in people’s wellbeing on their daily jobs. They may have different sequence of importance, however, sense of inclusion, being valuable and career development play key roles in long term wellbeing of adults.

Last but not least, it is not rational to consider limiting speed the best solution for having safe roads, for there is a huge number of reason for accidents. The case in point is vehicles with technical problems. Tiring of following a hectic life style, individuals do not have enough time to check their cars.
